If a state you live in plans to reopen before you think it should, you have the absolute right to stay home and quarantine.

The real men and women of this country will have to pick up the slack for the rest of the pussies who want to stay locked in their closet because it's too dangerous out there.

Don't be surprised if a large percentage, if not most, people remain mostly at home as most have been doing in recent weeks. Going out only for essentials like groceries, or a walk, etc. Even after states, provinces, cities & countries begin to reopen their economies beyond the essential services, many will continue to stay at home except for going out for the essentials. You won't see me going to bars, restaurants, barbers, hockey games, etc, for a long time, if ever.

But all of these other posters know what is best for me and my state from 2,000 miles away. I just have to watch enough TV so I become as scared and helpless and hopeless as they are as the end of the world nears and the potential exists that I may not be in 7% of people who test positive and then the 97% of those people who resolve. BTW...where is my government money?

At the end of the day you do know this is a degenerate and let me emphasize degenerate nameless faceless gambling forum. From broad range of ages to broad range of country / cities lived , it’s a huge broad range of opinions where everyone thinks they are right and pure entertainment of those that actually think they are right. And I don’t care who you are and if you pull for the American League or the National League or in between

no one will change anyone’s mind to root for the Yankees and no one will change anyone’s mind to root for the Braves , it’s just a place to waste time , and some actually need to come up for air , there is actually a world out there before the Rona and during the Rona

for those I’m the war zones prayers are with you, for those opening up keep it safe , slow, respectful and common sense getting out

And help us anyone close to us gets it bad enough to take ones life

Have a good evening guys

Your living in a fairytale world. People in my parts have been buzzing around since the shutdown happened. I dont know 1 person who is going to stay hidden. Actually everyone in the real estate/construction business has been business as usual

That is amazing. Even more amazing is that is exactly what is going to happen. There will be no doom and gloom in America.

Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore has one elightened moment from no other than Marilyn Manson. He says that the news networks and the media are in business to ensure you stay scared...they feed that and then sell you all of the snake oil you need so you won't be scared anymore. You may not like Moore or the message of that movie, but 18 years ago, Marilyn Manson perfectly described the state of the press/media in 2020. Since I know you have the time, check that out.

Every state in the country will keep an eye out on how these states implement rules going forward for social distancing, etc.....

In Vancouver there has been construction going on too. While 99% of everything else is closed.

Or, take Arkansas, for example, which is not on lockdown & businesses are not required to shutdown for the most part:

"...It's a time where the only crowded parking lots are found in front of grocery stores and "open" signs on businesses are few and far between."

Don't be surprised if it's like that in many other places for weeks after states begin to allow businesses to reopen.

Many will switch to online shopping instead. And work from home instead. And take vacations at home instead of people flying everywhere spreading disease to the 4 corners of planet earth. A lot is going to change post COVID-19.
